The Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor has been a staple of downtown Smithfield for over four decades. Even through the changing of times, the Ice Cream Parlor has never compromised its retro style. Situated in the heart of Main St, we are sure to have something for all ages!
Our Story
Margaret Carroll launched Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor in June of 1982. What started as a tiny ice cream shop at the other end of our small town, has now evolved into a locals favorite hangout with traditional counter, booth and spacious outdoor patio seating. Margaret expanded her menu to include hot toasted subs and sandwiches, salads, and wraps. After 40 years of establishing roots in our charming community, Margaret turned her key over to Marc and Alex Edwards in June of 2022. Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor has continued to thrive in this amazing town that we call home.
The parlor has been made special by all of our regulars, locals, and newcomers alike. Come in and experience the stories of the regulars who are in every day, the smiles and friendliness of our hard working team, and the smell of our hot oven fresh subs.
